Delcam offers virtual tour of Birmingham headquarters

Delcam has added a virtual tour of its Birmingham headquarters to its Delcam.tv online video channel. The video can be viewed at http://www.delcam.tv/delcamtour.

“We now have close to 40,000 customers in more than 90 countries,” stated Delcam Marketing Manager, Peter Dickin. “While we always welcome visits to Birmingham by our customers, we realise that many of them are unlikely to be able to travel to the UK. We hope that seeing this video available will allow them to get an impression of the size of our headquarters and the strength of our company.”

New Artistic CADCAM website for ArtCAM

Delcam has launched a new dedicated website for its ArtCAM family of artistic CADCAM software at http://www.artcam.com. The site contains details on the various applications where ArtCAM is used and highlights the many business benefits of using the software. Visitors can download free trial versions of the software so they can test it on their own designs.

The software range comprises the low-cost, entry-level version, ArtCAM Express, for users new to CNC machining, ArtCAM Insignia for production machining and ArtCAM Pro for more complex design and manufacturing projects.

Delcam to launch FeatureCAM 2012 at EMO

Delcam will launch the 2012 version of its FeatureCAM feature-based CAM system at the EMO World of Metalworking exhibition to be held in Hannover from 19th to 24th September. A range of enhancements will enable faster and easier programming, and produce more efficient toolpaths to give greater machine productivity.

All these developments will ensure that FeatureCAM retains the leadership in programming speed and ease of use it has held since its launch in 1995, when it was the world’s first feature-based programming system.

Delcam adds data repair module for FeatureCAM software

Delcam has introduced a new data repair module for its FeatureCAM feature-based CAM system. The module, which is based on functionality from Delcam’s PowerSHAPE CAD software, will allow FeatureCAM users to repair poor-quality CAD models from a wide range of design software. Once repaired, the models will be able to take full advantage of the highly-automated programming provided by FeatureCAM.
